Such a Character
Jared Ettinger is a voiceover artist marked by his unique voice, contagious energy, and charming unpredictability. Quirky, witty, and enthusiastic, you can trust Jared to make your message one that’s impossible to miss.
Jared spent many years studying acting and improv at Emerson College, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Upright Citizen’s Brigade. He later decided to focus solely on his VO work, and hasn’t looked back since. Combining his prior experience in developing nuanced characters and portraying a range of emotions, with his voiceover studies under the prolific talents of Lori Alan, Susan Palyo, Cassandra Lee Morris, Keythe Farley, and Ezra Weisz, Jared has found his sound and knows how to harness it for a variety of genres.
Speaking of genres, Jared is passionate about original animation and video game character work. He sincerely enjoys the creative challenge that comes with authentically playing a part. While animation and video games are his preference, Jared has experience in the realm of commercial VO as well, leaning into his youthful charisma for all kinds of bubbly reads.
Jared lives in Burbank, California and works from his broadcast-quality home studio equipped with Source Connect. In his spare time, Jared hosts a weekly talk and music podcast called Pixel Pizza where he interviews a different video game developer and features new music from game-inspired artists all over the world. He’s also a documentary filmmaker and has had his work featured in several film festivals, including the Pittsburgh Shorts Film Festival and the Los Angeles Children’s Film Festival.
